I just got back from a design team meeting at the store where I do my classes and it looks like there is going to be some fun things happening the next few months with the holidays and changes going on. We had the opportunity to look at some of the new products that are rolling in from CHA and got the skinny on when we can expect some things to show up at the store. It has been and interesting week around here first dashing this way then that. I have managed to get a couple of blog posts in around the goings on to show off some of the things I have been doing and creating.
A picture of what my desk looks like today. It is in a messy state but it sort of lives there most days. I spotted up the pristine looks of my cutting mat by accidentally dumping some acetone on it and it immediately lifted some of the markings and the vinyl from the top. You can't see it in this photo so I don't know why I am telling you...guess as a warning to be careful with acetone around the cutting mats. As you can see in addition to crafting I have continued to take stamps off their wood mounts and those stamp cases have stamps that need the glue applied. I did about another 10 sets but they are already in the cabinet. I decided to reorganize the stamps according the the Stampin'Up! categories or Nature, Occasions, Elements, Holidays, etc. I think it will make it easier to find what I want. I plan on putting a list of stamps accessible to the shelf so you will know what section to find what set in.
Here is a picture of the goodies I picked up at the store tonight. We all decided which products we were going to showcase for our projects and I won out getting to do a Christmas Canvas with the Graphic 45 Christmas stamps and papers. Yay!
Last picture...here are the last two tags I made for the tag class the beginning of the month. I thought I had posted them on WOYWW #114 but it was only the leaf tag! Everyone who took the class enjoyed making them.
WOYWW is a fun time of the week for me going and snooping around other peoples desks and seeing what it up in their corner of the world. It is a small world on WOYWW cause we go all over the world from the comfort of our desk chairs. No visa required!! If you are interesting in following along or joining in the fun go to Julia's blog, Stamping Ground and check it out.
Oh, bet you were in keeping with the holiday spirit snatching that one up ;) Can't wait to see what you do with it. Glad someone's got their finger on the pulse. #9.

ReplyDeleteWow, to be on a design team. How lucky are YOU. And a chance to see all the new CHA items must have been a thrill, too. Happy WOYWW.
ReplyDeleteGreat space and love the ink-pads. Hope the cutting mat survives. Great tag - there's a travel theme at Simon Says Stamp & Show and over at Frankies (at WOYWW 16 today) so why not show that one off!

My desk is really a tray on my bed, hence it's so small! I manage to do all my crafting there, so it does the job! Love your tags, any tips on using the distressing ink? I've only got one, and need some tips!
ReplyDeleteWow those tags are just gorgeous. Your desk always looks so organised so no need to apologise. It is important to show off your new stash to woyww we love seeing the extras we need. Thanks for the tip on the acetone. I think we all learn the hard way.

Oh goodness...you have some grand new goodies! How very fun! Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteloved the tags. happy wednesday and yeay for no visa required!
ReplyDeleteThose tags are lovely! And I think your desk looks very interesting. Love the Cadbury tin! I have used my green cutting mat for so long that the markings have just faded and vanished of their own accord, so I bought a new one the other day. Thought, only briefly, to get rid of the old one, but, no, just put them side by side and use the new one for measuring and "clean" stuff and use the old one for any thing like glue, paint and sticky stuff!
ReplyDeleteI would think it’s a little dangerous seeing all the new CHA goodies in one place Vickie, Lol! Mind you, it looks like you were quite restrained and didn’t come home with the whole shop. Can’t wait to see what you do with those Christmas goodies.
ReplyDeleteLoving the two tags, especially the one with the butterflies, the colours are so subtle….beautiful!
Have a good week and ……….
Happy Crafting!

You are doing something I've been thinking and struggling to decide if it's the right thing to do or now.... taking your stamps off the wood blocks... I like to be able to just pick up the stamp and stamp with it but hate all the room they take up... so hence my strugle....
ReplyDeleteYour tags are fab! I do love your colours. Those Graphic 45 pads look glorious- I think they just hit the 'must have' list! Happy (late) WOYWW,Shaz
ReplyDeleteLoving your desk this week especially with those new goodies on it, they look fab, not seen those christmas designs, I may have to see if I can find them over here as they look gorgeous. Kezzy x
