More cards and WOYWW #461

OMG!  Seems like this week has just flown by faster then others and I have so much to do and so little time or inclination to do it!  I find it interesting that I have managed to remember Wednesdays and WOYWW recently!  I think the anoxic injury may be well and truly on its way out!  If you are interested in WOYWW go here and check it out.  It is fun blog hopping on Wednesdays and snooping around!

My desk is a bit busy today...I have been having fun putting together some of the kits that I have been amassing the past year!  I didn't realize the impact my surgery would have on my crafting abilities!  I am definitely doing better!
Has anyone else bought the Tim Holtz stamping platform?  I am trying to decide whether I really like it or not!  It does stamp better images and when doing multiples of the same image it is a champ getting everything in the same spot!  If I am doing just one of something though I am still using just a plain old block!

Check out the 3 layouts plus the cards I made in the previous post.  I had completed the one-2 page layout and posted it last week but finally got the kit finished...

These cards are from this months Paper Pumpkin from Stampin' Up! that I got in the mail a few days ago.  I ended up rejoining Stampin' Up! for a few months to get the stuff I need and have run out of since the last time I belonged to the group.  I love the product but not much into selling it!
This kit made a total of 9 cards!  3 of each kind in the kit.  There was some product left over I can use on another project!

These cards are from another card kit from Close to My Heart!  I didn't like one of the stamps I was suppose to use so I changed them up and did them my way!  The sentiment on the one card about a good friend comes from The Stamps of Life!
This kit is still available from CTMH and makes 12 cards.  It is called sending hugs!

Altogether I think I completed 3 double layout pages and 29 cards this week...

Chuck and I will be celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary this Thursday!  Luckily Chuck knew when he married me that I wasn't much in the housekeeping or cooking department but he kept me around anyway!  We will be married 43 years tomorrow!  I think he is as much a sweetheart today as he was back then.  Who would have thought that all of this came from a friends match making back in 1974!  The kids were here for Thanksgiving and helped me set up my Christmas decorations and we just had to take a family photo!  I really am truly blessed with the family I have...good folks not just my family!
Okay I am going to get off here and go to bed!  It is almost 1 am and I am really feeling tired.  Thought I would get this posted before I go to bed because I have so much stuff to do today!  Have a great week!

My you have been busy in the crafting department - what a good idea that lettering is - something I might borrow and use up some of my papers.

  6. Morning Vickie. Many, many congratulations on your 43rd anniversary! Well done to you both!!! You have a wonderful family - it's such a blessing isn't it? And you called MY post awesome!!!!
I'm so glad you enjoyed reading about Wales this week - I admit to loving it here - there is a Welsh word - hiraeath - which is hard to translate, but basically means that gut wrenching feeling of HOME. That's Wales for me! I couldn't climb Snowdon, either - but yes, there is a train. It's extortionately expensive but on a clear day - oh the view! Well worth the money then. If you get back this way - you know where I am!!
    Take care. God bless.

  8. It's me again! Guess what just arrived with my postie- your fab ATC! Vickie, thank you so much, it will be added to my ATC collection- I've bought all the page holders from Amazon, as I have so many from all the Birthday swaps, I need to file them now. I've signed up for this years again, so I must start mine. I've been doing this WOYWw for about the same time as you, and like you am so happy to have so many friends I've made from it, I love each and every one of you. Huge hugs, Shaz Xxx

  11. Great cards! I love the friends sentiment! Happy Anniversary!! Hope he spoils you rotten! (and vice versa!) Our DD visited this weekend, and helped take down the outdoor decorations! The kids across the street were beginning to wonder about us, having our decorations up for so long! Have a great week, Lindart #30

  12. Happy Anniversary for tomorrow, you lovebirds!! Hope you have a wonderful day :-D. I'm so glad you liked the Eagles lyric, they're one of my favourite bands - and yes, I was a wild child too, so you're in good company! Those cards are fantastic, I really like the Kraft coloured ones, so gorgeous but the sentiments on the Friends cards were good too.
And a big thank you for my ATC which arrived today!! That's so kind and you really needn't have bothered but it is really cute and I love the thought behind it 💖💖

  15. I agree Vickie, wholeheartedly. I’m very nearly 2 years post op and feel that its only in the last 6 months that I’ve felt the need to get back into my real craft world. You’ve done an incredible amount this week, I love the kits. Especially love the friend sentiment on the cards...is that the one you substituted or is it available from CMH? Might have to go investigate!
Keep on gal, absolutely loved your post full of enthusiasm and huge congrats for your wedding anniversary. What a a wonderful feeling.

  16. Hi Vickie - Annie and I enjoyed a coffee together on a beautiful sunny day - buds are bursting and baby lambs in the fields. She passed the lovely ATC on to me that you sent. Thanks lots. Your comment on my blog made me chuckle - it's such a lovely offer and I am happy to help you clear your stash but it's a costly thing to do all the way from yours to mine! I have just offered to make Margaret (glitterandglue) some little knitted dolls for the children she supports in Uganda so my needles won't be idle for long! Your cards are so lovely - I don't have the patience for paper craft so it always amazes me how clever you all are. xx Jo

  18. Hi Vickie, congratulations on your anniversary! I have the Tim Holtz stamping platform. Very useful as you say for multiple cards. I also use a block if stamping just one time. 29 cards - wow, you put the rest of us to shame! Thanks for stopping by earlier. I'm sure you will love your Caribbean cruise in June! Have a lovely week Heather x #13

  19. Congratulations on so many happy years of marriage, Vickie, and long may they continue! Bless you both. All your projects are lovely and how productive you have been. Thank you for your visit and your good wishes. So glad you like my tag and album and that they are inspiring you to do something similar. These albums make lovely keepsakes. I had my surgery as scheduled but they sent me home too soon and I had to go back a couple of days later with bleeding and was kept in overnight. Back yesterday (permanently I hope) and as you can imagine, exhausted and needing loads of rest. I can't focus my eyes or concentrate for long so all my catching up is taking some time I'm afraid.

  20. Happy Very Belated WOYWW. Despite being home alone I seem to be even busier than usual (or wasting time on Facebook!), so only now sitting down to comment on a few more blogs. I love all of the cards that you made - gorgeous papers and stamps. 43 years of marriage! Sadly me and hubby met later in life (2nd time for both of us), so it will be our 13th anniversary in June.
