Wednesday again!! OMG! It seems the world has gone into overdrive this week and everything has flown by in overdrive. If you want to know what the WOYWW is all above visit Julia Dunnit at Stampin Ground. My picture of my desk isn't a desk this week. I decided to pick up and straighten up my craft room which turned out to be a nightmare! Here is what it looks like today! I can hardly move around cause I have cleaned out a closet and piled it in here. This isn't as bad as it looks cause it is all sitting on a futon, coffee table, and end table and piled high!! OMG! I dread going in there to finish up! I couldn't find something and that is what started all this 'straightening' that is in progress. I will get an after picture and post it next week! Hopefully!
The class I taught doing the Tim Holtzish tags turned out to be a hit. I thought I was going to only have 8 students but turned out to be 12 and everyone seemed to have a great time!
Now some family stuff! My sister and I spent the weekend at my brothers new house at Possum Kingdom Lake near Graham, Texas. They have a brand new grandbaby and we had to travel south to met her and see the new house. This a a picture from the front porch of the new house at sunset. I think I could get used to sitting here after supper each night! Beverly, Joel, and Evelyn live in San Antonio, TX and had to travel north about the same distance Carol and I had to travel south so it was a good meeting place.
Melvin and Brenda, my brother and sister-in-law, have two daughters and one son. This is their first grandchild and they are so happy with the prospect of more in their future.
I made it around to every one's blog last week and hopefully I will this week. It is awesome to see every ones desk and what they are up to.
Good luck with the sort out!

Looks like you've got your work cut out to tidy your room, look forward to seeing it when the jobs done.
ReplyDeleteLovely family photos!
ReplyDeleteIt will be well worth it once you've got everything back in order, it always looks worse when it's cleared out especially as we have so many little bits of precious stuff. I find myself walking around with one brad, one eyelet etc., to put away as I cannot bear to bin them... and it all takes TIME!
JoZarty x looking forward to seeing the tidy results.
Good morning Vickie, Good luck with the sort out - it does look a mammoth task :) Possum Kingdom Lake is such a fab name - it sounds a lovely place to live in. Your TH tags are great - I'm going to have a go making one some time. Elizabeth x #61
ReplyDeleteSome great stash there. I don't envy you for having to tidy it all up though! :)

You'll find every reason to avoid your craft room now but just fight those reasons and go back in. Treat it as a treasure hunt! Good luck...
ReplyDeleteI'm originally from Texas so I love to hear about it.
Thx for visiting me!

Oh I hope you manage to find the impetus to go on clearing sorting and stacking....If it was mine it'll happen just in front of a deadline for a card or something!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see some of your happy family - and oh that sunset!
If I lived closer I would come and help you tidy up..good luck.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of your family and the sunset is gorgeous.

Oh the storm before the calm...good luck and will look for pics next week to see if you survive!!!LOL! Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the stamp mounting link last week. The trip to see a new baby sounds epic - makes ours from here to family 'up north' sound like a dawdle to the park. The only way to tidy that room is to take small bites with little rests between. But I bet you go at it gung-ho, no breaks! ...Shirl #122
ReplyDeleteIt will be fun to see the "after" version of your scrap room, but no pressure! I'm so impressed that you made it to everyone's blog last week! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Sue #21
ReplyDeleteGood grief... that is one heck of a mess... no wonder you headed for the hills, especially with sunsets like that to sit and watch. Annette
ReplyDeleteGreat family photos - I love seeing pics of where other people live as well. Your craft room looks rather scary, hope you get it sorted!

ReplyDeleteGoodness this looks like a serious sort out, good luck with it all.
ReplyDeleteI think if I had this sunset view I'd never move back inside, it's just beautiful.

My husband always know I'm cleaning when he comes home and things look worse! I tear everything apart sometimes too. It always starts because I can't find something. I generally don't find what I am looking for, but I find something else I lost! Hope youg et it the way you want! Great family pics!
ReplyDeleteGoodness me, you've managed to make a right mess there Vickie!! Good look with sorting it out!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset photo, I would enjoy that view too :-)
Had to laugh when I saw your craft room today as I came home from work to find my 17 yr old daughter in this sort of mess in her room as she wants to sort everthing out - it seems we all have to make more mess before we can get tidy - have fun sorting out ~ Nicky no.6
ReplyDeleteHi - what a glorious Aladdin's cave of a craft room! It looks so exciting! Would love to have gone to one of your classes - too bad I'm in the UK! ReplyDeleteMy desk always looks a bit like that lol A few weeks ago I cleaned out my craft room and put stuff in the rest of the house... now my whole house looks a bit like that haha Good luck with the clean up.

I find the worse thing about sorting my craft room is after it is tidy because I've changed things I can never remember the new layout lol. The sunset is wonderful, I hope you had a lovely time with your family.
ReplyDeletewow! that seems like a lot of organizing to do. that's always the case with me when i'm cleaning up. it gets worse before it gets better. but i love it!
