My desks and craft room has suffered horribly with my lack of care. I would take things out and not put them back and the floor and anything horizontal has stuff piled and stacked on top of it. I did clear off a spot on the desk so I could make a few cards over the past couple months. Got to get busy and get it cleaned up! So this is my crafty space...it has been in worse shape of course...
this is a picture looking directly at the desk...Sad story I have killed off 3 computers since January! I went out and bought a new iMac and I am waiting for a friend to come over and take the data off this old one and put it on the new one then she is carting it off for parts. YAY!
The picture on the right is facing the ends of the desk cause I thought someone might want to see that is there...I have so much stuff...like I said I have been piling it up! The file cabinet top is loaded with all sorts of bling bins and other fun stuff.
I have been doing a little card making but it takes so much effort and while I could normally turn out all of these in a day it has taken me months... Sad!
This card states my feelings about WOYWW and missing you guys! |
Love this coffee cup and embossing folder! It is so much fun.
I bought a box of cards and this is one out of the stack...love these prints.
All of these cards were made for swaps on ATT or on a Facebook group called Papercrafting Swappers. I really have fun playing with these folks and enjoy the cards they send in return...
The Celebrate card was a color scheme prompt and fortunately in my stash I had just the right papers and flowers!
A Flowery Hello! This started out as the color prompt card but after looking around I decided this was a good Hello card and made the celebrate card to fulfill the prompt.
Two more design sketches...The endless summer card is all die cuts and no stamping as per the rules...fun huh! The gate fold is a banded card...
The Blue and black made up into a nice mens card!
Last card is about time!
Hope to make it around to everyones desk this week... You should come join WOYWW and check out Julia's blog too! If I don't leave a big comment just know I was thinking about you. Hopefully I will have more to share next week!
oh my, you poor thing! Hopefully you will be up and out and about more very soon. you've still made some impressive looking cards... shame about the computers though! oops..... Helen #1

ReplyDeleteHello Vickie. I'm so sorry you have felt so very unwell. Yes, maybe as the weather starts to pick up, and we get longer days, you will start to feel more like yourself. The cards you have made are fun, and so well done for managing them. Shouldn't worry about the desk - shows you have been doing bits!!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

ReplyDeleteVickie good to see you back on here. Sorry to hear you have been ill and now DH is poorly too.
ReplyDeleteYou need a helping hand with that craft room, but I live too far away. What about DD, would she come for a few days and help you?
Hope you soon feel in tip top condition, you are missed!

Hi Vicky, so many fabulous cards! You have been busy. The teasels are a common sight over here, more as a wild plant, although there are some cultivated ones too. Many years ago, they were used for 'combing' wool and fibres for weaving. Another interesting thing about them- they were the inspiration behind the invention of Velcro! Some guy, pulling them off his sons clothes after a country walk, had a light bulb moment, and Velcro was born. Have a lovely week, hugs, Shaz XxX
