What's on my work desk today? Well had to cover it up cause I have started to work on a swap over at the creativeblock-stampersanonymous Stampers Anonymous blog on Yahoo. The swap is an Artist Choice 6x6 Page Swap where you can make all alike or all different it is up to the artist what they want to make and do. There are 13 people signed up for the swap so there is a lot of creating to be done here. I will post the pages when I get them done.
I have not been doing a lot of creating this week. I have not been feeling real well again so have been taking it easy for the most part. I promise to get in there and do something good to share this next week. I have another blog Okienurse's Fibromyalgia Blog where I have been documenting my health care trials and tribulations on in a rather erratic fashion but I wanted to thank people who have emailed me for sent well wishes to me and have shared their experiences with me. It means a lot when you feel unwell to know that you aren't the only one in this boat. I have never been much of a whiner but this disorder has caused me lots of grief personally, health wise, and now I am unemployed cause I can't hold down a job. Once again thanks for the well wishes.
Okay now you are really wondering what is going on cause I am thanking people and all. Well Ms. Julia Dunnit at Stamping Ground is the cause of it all so much so that some people even call her the Queen of Snoop. WOYWW is group of creative people that get together to share their desks and support one anothers endeavors. Check it out here.

Sorry you've not been feeling well. Love the gorgeous things out on your desk!
ReplyDeleteAs someone who has chronic back problems, had numerous procedures & struggled generally, I can totally sympathise with you. It sucks sometimes doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteStill, if you're like me you'll find crafting a great diversion and a way to 'lose yourself' for a few hours here and there. I hope you're feeling up to it again soon Vickie.

Gawd Vickie, am sorry to hear you're going through a bad patch, it's such a debilitating problem. Look forward though, it will retreat because you are a Ninja and it can't keep you down. Meanwhile, gosh, good luck with the SA pages..it's cost me a fortune to enter a swap like that...no really, I'd need LOADS of new stuff!!

So exciting when someone is hiding something good. Hope we get to see it! The great thing about you is you keep going through this difficult time and I don't think you realize what an inspiration your are to others.
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks so tempting and crafty. Keep up the good fight. I know health issues are a true struggle.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon, my friend has fibro and i know just how debilitating it can be, but keep your chin up and craft when you feel like it not when you feel you have to.

ReplyDeleteIt can’t be easy having to contend with on-going health issues but it’s quite obvious to me that you don’t let it get the better of you.
ReplyDeleteHopefully in time you will find another job that suites you better but in the meantime I’m sure you’ll find lots of crafty things to keep you occupied……….like those gorgeous stamps that are sitting on your desk waiting to be used.
Happy Crafting!

I thought I had been here on Wednesday, but obviously I missed you and don't even have a good excuse. I'm sure glad you dropped by because it was sweet to hear from you.
ReplyDeleteSorry to read about your fibro. I am well aware of the pain and feeling associated with the disease. I can understand the sometime and intermittent nature of it. And yes, just knowing that others care or possibly live with it, is always helpful. Thanks so much for stopping by this week. Happy WOYWW a few days late.
What an idiot I am Vicki, I thought I left this comment for you yesterday but somehow I managed to leave it in my own comments for last week. May be it's time to book into the funny farm. Lol!

Hope the swap brings you good stuff back, it's hard adjusting to a disability, and us nurses are the worst at taking our own advice, but you know that physically you have no choice so the only control you have now is how you choose the cope psychologically,
ReplyDeleteDo Art Mississ - excellent therapy for the soul, and very gentle so even at your physical worst you can look through magazines for inspiration and angrily rip out pages to keep for when you can pick up your art tools again... - and yes collage is Nicer than most people think, it is is a really easy and quick way to achieve what would take months if not years using a single medium...
see you next week if not before...

What a busy, happy looking work area! Sam :o)
ReplyDeleteI was here, honest! I know I always say that, but I was! I noticed you lace on a roll, never found anywhere who sells it on a roll only meters for soooo much more than it should be! Your desk looks fab, (as always) Sorry about your job, I haven't been able to go back to 'proper work' since my 'op that wrong wrong' and only do my 'peoples' and their animals a few days a week, don't think I could go back now, agh?!?! when would I find time to craft??! Have a good weekend, hope you're feeling a lot better, happy late woyww!
