It has been a relatively quiet week all things told. I was house bound due to the weather until last Friday when I ventured out and went to the dentist. Nothing horrible just a routine cleaning and checkup for my upper denture. I had such horrible teeth as a child that it came as no surprise two years ago when I was told I needed the upper plate. I have been having a flare up of most of my autoimmune issues this past week along with the on going back pain from the surgery so I have been staying in and staying warm...haven't done much in the way of arts and crafts.
Enough about me...my desk is a mess for sure!
a wide view of my desk all a mess. I have been working in my journal a little bit. The cart is all my journaling paints, inks, etc. I have 3 such carts I roll about as needed! |
The art journal pages I am working on! |
The Creativeblock-StampersAnonymous group I belong to had a swap this past month 3 for 3 tags and a free stamp from Stampers Anonymous! I like this old vintage style stamp a lot! I have several men facing forward this is the first turned away! The challenge this month is to use the stamp on the tags (3/3) and the challenge is to keep them flat to mail all 3 in a #10 (legal size envelope. Some of us are guilty of using a lot of embellishments and it really runs up the price of postage. These are the tags I received and the stamp...
I didn't get around to all the desks last week but will definitely try and do so today after I get back from my appointment this afternoon. Have a great week!
loving your very busy desk! fab journal work - yes, I use stamps and stencils and don't free hand anything! don't do any actual "journalling" in the pages! just play! Helen #1
ReplyDeleteSorry you've been having health issues Vickie, staying warm sounds the best thing to do. I'm not surprised that magazine caught your eye, those stamps are beautiful.

That's not a mess it's just busy. What good is it having a desk and not having it full of goodies Lol! Great collection of stamps with the magazine. Happy woyww, Angela x16x
ReplyDeleteWhat a deliciously crowded desk! Loving the look of those dylusions!! Great tags too. Happy WOYWW Cindy #19 Stay warm!!
ReplyDeleteHi Vickie, I love that stamp! I will have to look out for it as it is right up my street. I take part in a monthly tag swap too (FB/Junk Journal Junkies and Mindful Art), they are fun. Hope you feel more up to crafting this week. Sarah #15
ReplyDeleteHi Vickie. Three lovely tags received there - and a great stamp. Yes, keeping warm is the only answer at the moment. I have been out this morning and saw icicles on the promenade! We rarely get it that cold here by the sea. The waves had come up the shore and where the wind had caught them they stayed! Hope fully I don't need to go out again until tomorrow evening - the temperatures promise to plummet... brrr!!!
ReplyDeletetake care. God bless.

ReplyDeleteSorry your health is not good again. What a bugga this getting a bit older is (not that you are near my age I hasten to add). The aches and pains seem to multiply.
ReplyDeleteNice shots of your desk - and I love your cart, I think it is like one I have in the bedroom with all my medication in (plus other stuff).
Hope you get around to crafting.
Hugs, Neet xx
Vickie, Sorry to hear about your health. Sending heaps of positive healing thoughts.

Love the journal pages.
The tags are fab.

I hope you are feeling a bit better now - it goes on and on doesn't it! Love the stamp set that came free with the magazine - it looks really fab, so do your colourful pages! Cool tags and stamp you received. Thank you for your lovely comment - you asked what a thought about Oxides - well I love them! They are quite different to DI's. They are easier to blend, you can stamp with them really nicely too and, when sprayed with water, give a chalky look and you can then layer colours without mixing the ones below and getting mud - really cool! I still love my Distress Inks too and also use them together. Some people have stopped using their Distress Inks in favour of Oxides but I personally love them both. Take care of yourself. xxx
