Woo-Hoo! I have some exciting news to share! I was chosen by Cheryl and Meagan at Ten Second Studios to be one of their monthly guest designers! When they put out the call for people to apply for the design team I didn't think I stood a chance but I love their products and projects and decided to give it a try! Over 1000 very talented people heard the call which makes me humble to think that I was one of the ones chosen! Starting the first Thursday of April (and every Thursday in April) I will making projects to be displayed on the TSS site.
I have always been a crafter and loved to sew but now I actually give thanks for the medical problems that allow me to stay home and play all day. I have found a whole new life, friends, and ways of expressing myself since retiring. Due to my medical training I have found I bring a lot of detail into my work. I started out as a scrapbooker/paper crafter in 2008 and have expanded over the past few years into a multimedia crafter/artist. I am willing to give any medium a try and have a blast learning new techniques. My favorites right now are grunge and vintage works. I like to recycle or reuse found items like toilet paper rolls, whiskey packing containers, cigar boxes etc. As most of you know I am at my happiest getting all inky and covered in paints and glue!
There will be a a new guest designer every month so follow along and check out all the awesome projects we will be doing.
Wow, many congrats on being chosen as guest designer - go you!! Have fun doing it :)

ReplyDeleteWell done on your great news. I am sure you will do very well with the design team, and I look forward to seeing your creations for them. Thank you for your visit today, and your kind comments. Sadly, the weather here has gone downhill today, but I must get out into the greenhouse as I have two more parcels of plants. One is chocolate Cosmos, which smells divine when it flowers, and the other a bundle of 20 bluebell bulbs in the green, all ready to plant in the garden. Can't wait. Have a good week. xx Maggie #17

ReplyDeleteps Know what you mean about your health and how it has influenced your life. Just thinking yesterday that if I had perfect health, I would be leading a very different life, but that would probably not include crafting. So there is definitely something positive to come from our pain!
Woo hoo... HOW exciting is that... well done |YOU

Wow! Well done Vickie! Many congratulations. I am sure you will do very well. I can so identify with your attitude to your health problems - I also give thanks for mine, because I would never be doing what I now do were it not for getting ill. OK, I can't do it as much as I want because of my health limitations which can be a bit frustrating sometimes, but I am so thankful nonetheless!!

Vickie! I just checked my mail box and there was a box stuffed with goodies!!! THANK YOU so much. I especially love the card you made. I really like that embossed King of Clubs. And the sentiment is so sweet. How did you know that I collect buttons? hee hee I can't wait to use the Artist's Loft paints with my brand new paintbrushes on my little canvas! Woo hoo. And pirates? I have a friend celebrating his 50th birthday on Saturday so will use some of those rub ons to make a card. Love the little bling in the tubes too, and the scrapbook tacks. The little purple bag is too cute!
ReplyDeleteAgain, thank you so much!
