Wednesday July 4, 2012 and WOYWW #161

We are still on storm chase vacation and today I am sitting in a small town in NE Montana called Malta.  We had some car trouble yesterday (read here) and so I will be having some time to look around the area, maybe do a little crafting, and do a little laundry.  The two latter are needed to keep a happy soul!

A picture of my desk this week!

My desk this week

what I am working on.   Strawberry Lemonade is the ice-cream flavor this 4th week.
I did manage to get a couple journal pages done when we were visiting with Chucks cousin in Idaho Falls, ID last week.  I have started a couple more for the Summer of Color challenges on Twinkle Twinkle Like a Star blog with Kristin and the other folks.   The first week was Rainbow Sherbet colors, 2nd week was Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, 3rd week was Baseball Nut ice cream from Baskin Robbins.  I decided to use the WOYWW ATC that I made for the swap because it fit all the criteria of Vanilla, Cashew with a touch of Raspberry.   I think everyone should have received the saw by now so I can show it off.  What do you think?  Baseball Nut ice cream?
Tim Holtz and Just Rite stamps.
I also sent a reusable card since I so late getting them out due to technical difficulties.  ;-/  that I made by using embossing folders and embosslets from Sizzix.

Thank you Deeyl for taking a picture and posting it on your blog!  I forgot to take any photos before sending them out.
So back to this weeks challenge of Strawberry Lemonade ice cream colors.  There is still time to join us in the Summer of Color fun.

Well that's it for me this week.  I hope you go to Stamping Ground and check out WOYWW and come play with me, Julia and the rest.  It is a lot of fun but should have a big warning sign stating that it is highly addictive.  Since I am broke down in Malta, Montana I should have time to visit a few more blogs this week then last week.  Have a great week and Happy 4th to all my friends celebrating in the USA!

  30. WOW - I'm impressed. Just had a quick flick back through your blog for the last week or so - what an adventurous pair you are! Very, very cool....

Thanks for stopping by! Wanted to tell you that I can't blame blogger for the odd colours in the photo - I think it's the way the light affected them when I took the shot in the first place. I might have to try one in daylight - when we next get some between rainstorms. Maybe you guys should come over here for some chasin'...

  36. You’re so good to be traveling and crafting at the same time Vickie, multi-tasking as always, lol!
Now all this talk of ice cream has to stop, especially while I’m around because unless it’s the ‘Silly Cow’ low fat variety I’m not allowed to go anywhere near it.

Hope the cars fixed soon but while you wait

    Happy Crafting!

  37. I have no idea what some of those colors. If I were an ice cream eating gal, I'd say this calls for a road trip to a Baskin Robbins. Strictly for research purposes of course! From what I can guess you've got the colors spot on. Sorry to hear that you are broken down somewhere but good you get a little time to regroup.

  38. Hate to hear that you've had car problems on your vacation but it's always a good thing to get some laundry done and a great thing to craft and do a WOYWB post...note...what's on your work bed, lol I got your ATC and the lovely card, thank you so very much, you are such a sweet heart. I'm sorry I didn't get to post it on my blog today but it is running a little long already, and so is my comment! lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina with a hot dog in one hand and a flag in the other! :) #37
