Today we were up and out of the hotel by 10:00 and on our way to see the sights.  Jackson Hole, WY is a very busy town with a lot of hotels that cater to the summer crowds who come to see the Tetons and to white water raft and in the winter it is a giant ski resort.  Here are a couple of pictures of the town square.  Chuck isn't big on touristy type walking about and I can't handle the people so this is it.
all four corners of the square had arches made from antlers

stage coach rides

posh stores with all sorts of floral displays

or ornate facades

the old movie theater from when it wasn't such a touristy place.
I am only going to post a few of the Tetons today cause I took tons and I am thinking right now that they are all looking a  lot alike.

Hope you like the pictures today.  I really enjoyed touring this park and we still have a lot we didn't get to see so hopefully next visit will yield more and different views.

We are going to start heading back to Oklahoma  tomorrow but will probably take a couple more days before we get there.  It has been 16 days since we left home and that is a long time. I am missing my bed and my kitties.  Heather has been a good sister and has been going by each day and visiting with them and making sure they have been cared for properly.

More tomorrow!

  2. oh my goodness this is so beautiful! The antler arches are very unique as is the old theater. Love the pic of you & Chuck with the mountains in the background! Also beautiful is the one of the lake, mountains and puffs of clouds in the sky. Your kitties will be glad to see you and I'm sure your craft room will be too!

  3. Thanks for the pictures! I've not seen the Tetons up close and personal like...should, they are lovely! And I bet it was cooler there than its been here. Try to bring some of that colder air back with you, huh? :) Then we would get some storms for your DH to track too! It would be a win-win! If only it worked that way, right? :)
