WOYWW #197 and the Altered Pages Challenge

I am really feeling like warmed over crud right now!  I seem to have caught this cold/flu that everyone else was complaining about getting last month.  Cough, sore throat, runny nose, headache, body aches and pains...what a mess makes concentrating difficult!  I have had it since last Friday so I hope it goes away soon cause I am really tired of dealing with it!

Here's a picture of my desk...not that much has been going on since Friday!  I finally made it back in there today to work on my Graphic 45 monthly calendar pages.  What you see on my desk is May's page in the works.  I love this paper pack it is so colorful and so much fun to work with.
To see January, February, and March's pages just click on the month it will take you to the page.
You really don't need much more then the Place in Time paper pack in order to make up these pages but feel free to embellish as much as you like.  I made mats for my calendars she when I am done with the year I can either use it again next year or turn it into a photo page!

I finished April's page last week and I really didn't like the style or color combo for that month but did the best I could with it!  I used some Glossy Accents on the papers butterflies then made some butterflies up on my own.  Looks okay I think!

I just finished May's page and thought I would include it in today's post also.  I liked this one a little better!  The colors and graphics were nicer I thought!
After posting this for WOYWW I read about Altered Pages Challenges challenging the artist to use the color lavendar and thought...hmmm...this does work so I am entering this into the contest!

Okay that's it for me!  I am going to go find a cup of tea and head over to Stamping Ground and link up for the blog hop.  I am a nosey snoop and hop around the world looking at others desks and works each week.  Want to join me?  Go check it out and Julia will tell you how!

  3. Oh no, hope you feel better soon. I cut the big roses on my eCraft which is like a Silhouette. They use 1 and a half sheets to make each rose...if you use the punch the rose is a 1/4 of the size and you can get 3 roses out of a sheet!

  9. hi vicky sorrry to hear you have 'the' bug, you have been busy with the pages though. the first one has a lot of different colours which is maybe why you had trouble with it I think... it can be overwhelming... May's page is very pretty and both LO are great.
    hope you feel better soon.

  50. Wow, May is gorgeous! Love it! Yes, the seed stitch is knit one pearl one, and stockinette is knit one row, pearl one row. I love the stockinette stitch, but I don't like how the ends curl up--whereas the seed stitch has the fabric staying nice and flat. But stockinette is so smooth. Oh well--I just love knitting!! 70. So sorry to hear how poorly you are, Vickie, and I do hope you are soon fully recovered. It's bad enough at the best of times to get flu but on top of existing medical problems it makes it that much harder. Big hugs across the Atlantic for you!!

Your calendar pages are just fabulous. I couldn't possibly choose between them for a favourite! Such lovely colours and great layouts too. Very well done indeedy. I always enjoy looking at all your colourful pens on your desk, too!

Thank you for your comment on my blog, and I'm so sorry you had such a stressful move, and losing both parents so close together too. It must have been a very difficult time for you. Mum is going to be 92 at the beginning of April and we hope she survives the stress of it all, and we get her happily settled in her new home, content in the knowledge that she will never have to live alone again and that we will always be there for her. She's extremely tough and has no serious medical problems apart from a bit of arthritis in one hip - she's very deaf, though, which makes life difficult. Dad is so content and well cared for in the residential home and he is the least of our worries! Now that his catheter has been removed we feel even better about his situation because he's much less likely to get any infections now.

    Get well soon hunny!!

Thanks for saying you didn't forget about me on my blog, you are awesome!!
Sorry you are under the weather too :(
Your pages are super fabulous!! Listen, there is a company I design for named "Altered Pages". They sell awesome stuff for great prices. BUT, they also have a monthly challenge blog. There are usually only like 3 people, which stinks, but there is a great prize as you saw on my blog, and your May page fits the challenge!! The challenge is "Lavender thoughts" and that page is lavender and that is all you need for the challenge. You don't have to use their products, just anything lavender! You should totally link your lavender page up!! Believe me, you have a really great chance at winning!!!
    Feel better!!
