WOYWW #198

Another busy week come and gone!  I am feeling much better this week and feel like I am returned to the land of the living and not going to die!  OMG!  I hate being sick and I am such a whiner when I don't feel well!  This sinusitus, cough, achiness etc is for the dogs!!  No I wouldn't even wish this stuff on a dog...maybe a rattlesnake would deserve it...nasty creatures such as they are!

This is my desk this week.  Not much going on.  I did get some crafty stuff done over the week end...a couple journal pages, a canister made from a whisky can and Graphic 45 paper, and a couple tags I will share as the week progresses!
Not a big change over other weeks! :-)  I have fallen in love with those little Petaloo petals flowers in the back ground.  They are just the right size and add just the right colors to my projects.  I need to learn how to make them!

I would like to share a tag I made for Easter this past weekend.  A friend tells me it creeps her out cause the rabbit is made from a piece of felt that is obviously fur!  I thought it was cute and not creepy at all!  This is loosely based on a tag I saw somewhere on the internet this past month (the window part) but when I went looking I couldn't find who to give credit to!  Anyway it was a fun make.  I am submitting this tag to the Tim Holtz tag of the month challenge.

All this talk about desks and crafty stuff makes me thirsty so I am off to get a cup of tea to drink and then I am off to Julia's WOYWW and I will be busy for a few minutes nosing into others desks.  Come join in the fun.

Am glad to hear you're better...sinusitis sounds trivial but it's not, I've been bunged up for weeks now...sigh.

  17. I don't think it's creepy either - but I am discovering that there is actually a very fine line between cute and creepy...all over my desk!! Those petaloo petals had me..from here I thought they were false nails....note to self..check glasses for cleaning and prescription!!
So glad you're feeling better; you're allowed to whinge about it' it's such a waste of time isn't it!

  19. Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. Anything on top of the Fibro etc always hits us harder doesn't it?! I'm feeling brighter too, increase in meds has helped. Love your tag! Enjoy desk hopping. Take care Zo xx 87

  21. Love the fluffy bunny tag, but agree with Jan, there is a fine line between cute & creepy. Every so often when we are out somewhere, we see souvenirs of cats in baskets. I've often looked at them for my Mum, as she is a huge cat person. Thing is, the fur is so soft & silky, just like a real cat, that it creeps me out, lol. Have a great week, Hugs Shaz #77

  24. Top of the Morning to you!! Your opening paragraph is "DITTO" for me Jan/Feb, really starting to feel human again too. Lots of YouTube info on the little flowers, it's amazing how much time you can waste on this computer, Learning! Hear you have warm weather...so lucky, more snow, drifting, winds and 15 degrees this week. I need spring just as your cute tag reminds me. Enjoy the week

  27. Hi Vickie, glad to read you are feeling better - just the sinusitis is bad enough without all the other symptoms too! Your tag is gorgeous and the rabbit doesn't look creepy to me - perhaps it needs to be touched to get that feeling. Have a happy WOYWW and may you keep well too, Elizabeth x #55

My Timmy Tag is on my previous post (there is a link). Love your fluffy bunny entry, and sure the window/frame is like Tim's tag a tad - LOL. BJ #137 - linked at last as ISP down all day.

  43. Hello Vickie, so pleased you're feeling better.
I really like the rabbit. So long as it's faux fur, I think the tactile quality would be great on the tag.

  50. Hi Vickie,

Glad you're on the mend. Love the Spring tag with sweet flowers and blue skies. It would be interesting to see what people use whisky cannisters for - mine holds knitting needles and crochet hooks. I haven't used either for ages but can't part with them either...just in case.

    Cheers, and enjoy the weekend.

  51. Glad you are feeling a bit better, Vickie. I reckon that wasps would be good to pass this bug to, they are just spiteful. I am beginning to come out the other end of the sinus etc problems. I just wish that the snow would vanish and let us have enough dry weather to let the ground dry out a bit. I hope you do well with your "Audition". You deserve success with that beautiful work. xx Maggie #32
