WOYWW #396, 500th Blog Post

Welcome to Wednesday and the first WOYWW of 2017 and the 396th since Julia started the process...What is WOYWW? Go check it out on Julia's blog Stamping Ground and she will fill you in on all the details.

We just got back from another week in California visiting with Heather and her husband Michael for the Christmas holidays so I really haven't had much time to be creative...not only that I just haven't felt much like creating anything dealing with a cough and sinusitis.  Heather and Michael were both sick with a good old head cold so I am not surprised we caught it.  Check out my previous post regarding the trip.

So my desk this week...
I have been doing some rearranging and cleaning up but you can't tell it today!  I decided that having all the bling on the roundy round thing in the upper right was too much so I moved it all to the one on the back wall and put the flowers in the drawers.  I have a lot of storage and need to maximize its use.  I seem to lose things and can't find stuff half the time and I am tired of it.  I have some more ideas that I am going to do soon and will be getting rid of more stuff!

Speaking of which...the counter on my blog post page just informed me that this is my 500th post since I started the blog.  I think that is reason to celebrate.  I think I am going to have some kind of giveaway but haven't decided what since I was just informed of the momentous occasion!  Stay tuned I will figure something out by next week!

I posted pictures on the previous post showing some cards I made last month.  I am going to start my art journaling again this week and probably some more cards for a swap I participate in.  Did I show you the little easels I made for the 12 Days of Christmas swap?  Would you like to see what I received?  It is an awesome lot of loot!
My basket of gifts for the 12 Days of Christmas
Day 1 Tea, and mug mat

Day 2 poinsettia ornament and tag with clothes pin

Day 3  Snow globe

Day 4 Beaded necklace

Day 5 Felt ornament
Day 6 Christmas Canvas

Day 7 easels for your phone or whatever that I made!
Day 8 all sorts of fun stuff.  love this necklace
Day 9 apron

Day 10 Journal
Day 11 ornaments...I tried multiple times to get this rotated!
Day 12 a cloth journal
I think I made out very well on the 12 Days of Christmas gifts.  I had a lot of fun doing this swap!
I am glad the holidays are over though and I look forward to quieter times.  Won't go into politics right now but lots of changes are on the way and we might ought to rest up now.  Happy New Year!

  8. Hi Vickie, wow, what a lot of goodies! No, we don't do reenactments, we did think about it at one time, but can't see it happening any time soon. If it was the lower right picture on my new header that made you think that, that was actually our Wedding! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #3 xxx

    1. It was that picture and I remember seeing the blog posts about the preparation and the wedding now that you shocked my memory into thinking! I do Medieval reenactment and love it. I belong to the SCA (society for a creative anachronism) My persona is late 15th Century Irish/Welsh woman. My name at games is Mevawny inghean Ui Ruairc!

  24. Congrats on your 500th post, I'm getting up near that many too, 489 last one, it squite midnblowing isn't it? Mm organisation really is tricky!!!

Your twelve days of Christmas was quite amazing!! Such a variation, well done indeed. I'm guessing they all came from different people. Other wise one person was very clever.
Thanks for popping over too. There isn't time enough for everything so I'm running bit late.
    Thanks for sharing your inspiration,

Your swaps were amazing.Everyone is very generous and creative!! I also loved what you made and sent out.I am super inspired to set up my area since I gave up my room and use some of your organizing ideas.

  27. Happy 500! And happy organizing! Organizing is one of those things that is dynamic as you have to switch it up from time to time. Bling might be the in thing and need to be at your fingertips now but a few months from now it might be buttons. I don't know about you but I seem to have too much of everything so what I have doesn't want to fit in the containers and bins I have for it. Time to cut back some I think. Your 12 days of Christmas swap looked like so much fun!!! Thanks for the visit last week! Sorry it took me so long to get 'round your way. PJ
