WOYWW

I missed posting last week due to being on vacation with Heather and her husband Michael in Pennsylvania!  We are at Pennsic Wars a medieval reinactment outside Slippery Rock, PA. It is beautiful here and the weather has been fairly cool at night and warm during the day.  I don't have a desk to share this week but thought I would share some pictures from around camp!
Heather and Michael's tent that I am sharing with them is 18x18 feet!   Loads of room inside for all sorts of things.
Heather and Michael setting up the tent!

Heather sitting on the bed stringing her loom to make me a belt!
My new belt!
My new orange dress heather made me! I have such an awesome daughter making me such fun garb!
 Storms on the horizon!
Off to war!
I will post more picture when I get home!
I hope everyone has a great week and I will try and visit a few desks later this week!  Go check out Julia's blog Stamping Ground (www.stamping-ground.blogspot.com) to see desks from around the world!

  1. Oh Vickie, how much fun this must be to be involved with. I have a friend in Minnesota that does the same type of thing.
Do you have to put up your own tent? That's mighty big.

    Gorgeous belt your DIL made.

I haven't posted WOYWW for four weeks and it feels good to be back in the swing of things again. No # yet the Queen is still asleep.

Looking forward to more pictures of your adventure.

  3. I love that you have a real bed in the tent that is camping in luxury.. What a fun thing to do.. I love the belt that your daughter made the workmanship in that is so lovely, beautiful colour. I recently went to the reenactment of a battle at a Celtic festival it was such fun.. Horses charging with lances the whole thing. They had a camp set up and looked like they where having a terrific weekend..

  9. Oh my gosh! What a blast from the past this post gave me. When I first met my hubby he was hanging out with SCA friends and Pennsic was the holy grail where everyone wanted to go. I went camping in garb to some war here in Arizona. It was fun but not my cup of tea. Now that fabulous tent with a bed! That's camping!!! Judy #70
