WOYWW #172

My desk this week doesn't look much different then it does most of the time but there has been a  lot going on around and on it!  Here is what it looks like tonight...

My desk is still a mess but less so then last weeks picture!  There are some roller stamps that I took off the roller and I am putting some Aleene's Tack It Again and Again glue on so I can use them on clear blocks.  I bought an insert to go in the center of the roundy round tools organizer that holds gems etc on clips that I am in the process of hanging some things on.  My knitting is off to the left.

I went to a stitch and gritch (or whatever you want to call it) the other night with my daughter and she tossed needles and yarn at me and told me to start to knit...sounded a lot like I did many years ago when I was trying to teach her to knit but for some reason she just  didn't catch on.  Now she knits faster, neater, and more difficult projects then I do!
I am hoping this will become a scarf in a short while!

Thought I would share a tag I made for a swap.  I bought a new Cricut cartridge and decided to try out the dress and dress form that was on it.  Different then what I normally turn out but not bad all things told.

Dress form tag in monochromatic colors.
Think I will stop here and head over to Julia's now and post on WOYWW.  What's that you say?  Well follow me over there and Julia will tell you all about it.  Stamping Ground is where we are headed!  Have a great week!

  8. Oh I love your tag, great background.. What a lovely color yarn, what are you making? I love the thing you have on the right hand corner with all your bling hanging on it, can we have a closer look next week. I am wondering is it a stand or hanging from the ceiling. Sandy :)

  10. Hi Vickie - hope you got all the gritching out of your system ;-) You need to speed up with the scarf as there is a chill in the air - definitely too much gritching and not enough knitting ha ha - love the heathery tones. Have a fun week and Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 102

  13. Yes, when it gets cold I get tempted by knitting and crochet, but all I really want to do is play with paper in the end :)

  17. Your tag is adorable and that yarn is sooo pretty! I'm working on a butterfly scarf right now. It looks like something complicated, but it's really so easy, just using the knit stitch, and a little counting. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #36 (p.s., you can see my butterfly scarf on my desk today--maybe we'll both finish our scarves before winter!)

  21. Love that yarn you're using Vicki, looks hand dyed. I have a friend who calls herself a "freestyle knitter" as in she never follows a pattern. Her projects are amazing, she incorporates beads, feathers and all manner of trim. Anyway great desk as usual and I love the tag.

  22. Oooo, I love the colour of that wool Vicki!
Can’t say I’ve hand knitted for years, in fact for more that fifteen years and then it was only to had knit ribs for garments done on my knitting machine. You never know, one day I might just get the needles out again.

    Happy Crafting!

  30. A roundy round organiser, huh? Sounds like fun. Do you whizz it around and see where it stops and then use what's in front of you? That's a bit like crafting Russian Roulette!! I take it you like living dangerously then...storm chasing and now gambling with your gems... :D
