WOYWW and Week 2 of Life Book 2014

I remembered that it was Wednesday at 0300 this morning and decided to go ahead and post on WOYWW and show everyone my messy desk.  I have been working hard on lessons in the Life Book course and paints etc are everywhere.  If you want to know why I am talking about desks go check out Stamping Ground and Julia will fill you in on the deets.
A little wider view of my desk and work area this week.  Definitely a mess but I am busy with a Life Book project and trying to catch up with the lessons I am behind on.  I am going to have to quit talking about moving to a bigger space and get going do it because I am so crowded and I am having problems finding everything.  The little white kitty is Ghost...she is a foundling that we adopted last August and at the time the vet thought she was about 6 months old.  I don't think she was that old because she is still super tiny and so very active!

I am really enjoying the Life Book 2014 lessons so far.  If you would like to see what I did for my first weeks projects go here.  I am really enjoying the classes and the challenges they are putting in front of us.  Pretty intense in some spots.  The inner artist guardian angel was only the third face drawing I have done but I was pleased with the way it came out.  My affirmation word I am working with this year is acceptance.  Acceptance of my art, my life etc.   This week I used to the word again in my project to show what I want more of in 2014.  These colors are not my usual grungy colors but I had lots of fun with them none the less!
I did better last week getting around to people.   I will try and visit more people this week and promise to visit everyone who visits me.  Have a creative week!

  1. I do like the colors on this! I also love to see your space...you are like me, I have a whole room but limit myself to such a small workspace. Yours looks very organized!

  4. Your cat looks far too comfortable in your chair :-)
Acceptance is a good word to adopt in life and your angel face is perfect.

  5. I could do with more space too, but cannot summon up the courage to move, so I am just expanding into two empty bookcases on the landing for the time being. I also want to keep the other room as free as possible in case I have visitors. Ghost looks so comfortable and quiet in that shot. Have a good time dealing with "acceptance". xx Maggie #21

  12. It definitely looks like you are running out of room on your desk and surrounding area. However, if you want my opinion.... you can give us the biggest space there is and we'll fill it until we only have a little space to work. Great journal page! I like the colors and the movement.

  16. The journal page looks fab, but your desk does look very tiny! Is that a spinner thing on the right side, with supplies hanging on it? It looks great! Helen 23

  17. Hi vicky love the page especially the colours. My word for
Last week was acceptance too. But in my case to accept that I cannot 'do' everything and to let some things go. I don't think I will ever accept what I play with is 'art'
Anyway enjoy the rest of your course belated WOYWW wishes

  18. Hi Vickie, it's been a while since I got round for a visit, but just saw your 'handle' over at Maggie the Silvercrafter's blog, and thought I'd zip by just to wish you a belated Happy New Year. Enjoyed seeing your thoroughly busy desk, and can see that you are having such fun. It's hard to be productive when your desk is so tidy, I think. (Well, I say that, probably to make myself feel better, cause I have to shove stuff out of the way all the time, then can't find things!) Hope the weather out your way is not too dreadful. Hope to get back more often. I find I can make cards & posts, or I can visit blogs & comment. Can't seem to manage both at the same time & get on with Life! TFS & Hugs

  20. Isn't it strange that the smaller the space is the harder it is to find anything? I LOVE your word for the year. You are keeping really busy that's for sure. Glad you are enjoying the Life Book! Have fun. Hugs to you!

  23. I could just dive right into your workspace and play for hours, all those wonderful goodies....I really like the face..... Thanks for stopping by, and you were absolutely right when you said a few of us together could create mayhem. Shopping with Eliza and me is not for the faint hearted..... but think of the fun we could all have... Sorry for the late reply, heat wave is really taking it's toll... Happy crafting DeDe #16
