WOYWW #181

It has been another busy week and I am not for sure why it has been so busy or why it passed so fast!  Happy WOYWW #181 I just stopped by for a quick visit before carrying on with my cooking plans for Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday.  Luckily this year Heather (DD) is hosting it at her house then I am going to go out to visit my sister and her family later in the day!  Now that is something to be thankful for...lots of food, family and friends and not much clean up and put away after the meals done!

Here is a picture of my desk today for WOYWW!  What's WOYWW?  It is a group of snoopy crafters that get together and blog hop around the world every Wednesday to see what everyone else is up to!  Want to get in on all the fun?  Go visit with Julia at Stamping Ground+ and she will let you know what it is all about!

my desk with all sorts of fun things to look at.  Rolls of Christmas washi tape in the lower right corner.  I bought some more hooks to hang more stuff on the organizer on the right.  Christmas Muse Tokens, some new Seasonal Stains from Tim Holtz, another recipe card for another swap.
I really enjoy making these little recipe card swaps and I think they will look cute in a books I am making.

I finally got the tag canvas finished and posted it totally done yesterday on the blog.  You can look at it here if you would like to see it all put together!

Speaking of making something good...how about some Gluten Free Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies....
These are really yummy and you can find the recipe on my Fibro blog.

Okay that's it for me today.  I am off to fix a cup of tea and eat a couple of the aforementioned cookies.  Have one...or two cause that is a big bag and enough to share with everyone!

  10. Happy WOYWW. Loving your desk, as usual. Must be the pens. I have the same, but mine are usually out of shot. Those cookies look yummy. I will give the recipe a go, as I know that I really should make more of an effort to see if changing my diet would help with my Fibro. I am getting more IBS flares at the moment - which is helping my waistline, as I cannot cope with a big meal, but I hate the nausea/cramps. I still have recipe cards on my 'To Do' list. Ali x #19

  18. Just starting my tour of the desks and a great one to start with. Love the snowflake die cut - looks good in the Christmas papers and your tag canvas is beautiful. It's 8:30 am here and it is raining (again) so I'll finish my breakfast (porridge) and then get down to some serious blog-hopping.
Thanks for visiting earlier - the polar bears are part of a set I bought from a local garden centre. They do all those Christmas village/houses and figures, got a pack with four different bears.

  23. Hi Vickie, thanks for visiting and for your lovely comment. Everytime I visit, all I can see is your gorgeous array of Copics. I know, I must sound like a broken record but my attention is always drawn to all those gorgeous colours! This time however I managed to pay attention and notice that cute recipe idea. Might have to borrow this idea. Happy WOYWW!

  24. I missed retuning your visit last week so you are on my list for this week!
And happily I got to see the tag canvas finished. Wow is all I can say - it looks spectacular. I also love the recipe card - nice swap idea and beautifully executed. Our crop keeps going on about doing a recipe swap for the pot luck dishes we do for lunch but we never seem to be able to decide on a method or design. I imagine we will dither for another year.... :)

    Happy WOYWW!

  37. Oh no! Now I NEED cookies. Cookies is my weakness. Chocolate and candy can go to heck, but I want cookies down my neck! I dunno, I just made that up. And how do I not have Christmas Washi tape??! Love the Christmas pages with the recipe card.

  38. Hi Vickie,

Your Christmas card with the recipe tucked in is so dang cute! I thought of making some cards this year but I'm afraid that I probably won't get to it. Still working on my little home and it looks like a construction zone!

The cookies look yummy. I'm so glad the gluten free eating style is working for you!

I didn't join in this week but wanted to stop by and see what you've been up to.

  43. Hi Vickie, thanks for your visit yesterday, time is a bit different now with the later posting of WOYWW so will have to reply to all and sundry on a Thursday now. I think the idea of a card with a recipe to swap is a brilliant idea, love yours. Also I think your desk looks super organised, I also think the reason mine always looks neat/tidy is that I have loads of room to put stuff.
    Have a great week.

  50. Thanks for the visit to my blog & the welcome to WOYWW. It was because of some pretty drastic changes in the vascular dept. that I took early retirement...too many people with no medical background trying to pretend they knew better than the medical staff. Oh well, that is all behind me now & I am happy here in my little crafty world! I too love snowmen...one of my favorite stamps is an old Stampin Up one of a group of snowmen & the sentiment "some of my best friends are flakes" LOL Love your recipe card...look forward to seeing the finished book! I have a book of family favorite recipes sitting somewhere on my desk waiting to be finished. See you next week!
    Hugs, Renee
