WOYWW #179

Not a lot to share or show on this Wednesdays WOYWW!  I had finished some tags to make a canvas with but I  have misplaced them and don't have a clue where they have gone.  My craft room is totally turned upside down in my searching for them and my Mojo has packed up and left with it!  OMG!  I get so irritated when I do something like this and now I don't even have a clue how to replace them.  Hopefully something with stimulate my interest soon!

Here is my desk today!  Hope you see something that interests you cause there is a lot piled up in my crafting space!  New stamps on the left was gifted to me by Crafters Companion, a new lot of Graphic 45 A Place In Time, a couple Tim Holtz dies I got in the mail yesterday (the toy soldier and tattered poinsettia) and some small bottles of Claudine Helmuth Studio acrylic paints and new brushes!
my desk!
Here are a couple of my girls!  Before getting these two we had three neutered males and thought we would try a couple of the female types and went to the pound and picked up these girls about a week apart.  Skiddy came first and was about two weeks older then Stormy.

The girls in their tree!
Stormy Girl!

Skiddy Kitty!

Aren't they gorgeous!  Skiddy is a very skittish kitty and has a black spot on her right flank that resembles the state of Texas!  Stormy got her name from her stormy disposistion and is one of the most talkative cats I have every run across!

I was told by a friend about these two iPhone and iPad apps that are available at the Apple store. They have all sorts of useful advice about produces and foods.
$7.99
$3.99

A really useful tool for shopping but not so much for eating out.  They rely on restaurants to furnish info and most don't want to go out on a limb to say it is GF!

I found a lot of interesting foods to try this week and have enjoyed some gluten free mac and cheese, a grilled cheese sandwich made with gluten free bread and tomato soup!  Yummy!   I am finding out more and more about the diet changes and in general changes that go with food intolerance's that I won't bore you with here and suffice it to say I am amazed!

Okay that's it for me today.  IF you are wondering what all the desk talk was about go visit Julia at Stamping Ground.   For more about my gluten free journey and other health issues check out Okienurse's Fibromyalgia Blog.

  1. Oh those Kitties are so cute in their tree!! Mine has suddenly taken to curling up behind the door in the bathroom, she's going to get squashed one day if anyone opens the door a bit vigorously. Interesting to see the GF apps. My nephew has a gluten allergy on top of his diabetes (since age 3). It's a real struggle trying to find things that suit both although. Happy WOYWW Cindy#78

And I spy SU ink pads, just have received my 1st ever order of them I have 6 but they are yummy. Pen storage! I also have just got my hands on it and it looks fab with all my speccies in. Take care. 3. How frustrating for you to lose those tags...I so hate it when that happens. Your desk looks fascinating in all its chaotic glory and makes me want to rummage through and play. So glad that you are managing to find interesting foods that don't cause problems with your coeliacs - it is a challenge, but at least most major supermarkets now have gluten free sections to help. Your new cats are adorable. Thanks for sharing. Caro #73

  4. The tags will turn up under something you have put away I bet ya.. Your kitties in there tree look so cute, like the curved tops on that scratchy post. They look comfy. Just to let you know the owls have hatched and I managed to get a photo of the babies. I have it on my blog. Sandy :) #44

  5. Your Tags will be found as soon as you stop looking for them!! That is the way it goes. I spotted something in the top right hand corner with has given me an Idea. That thing where you have embellishments and papers hanging from?! Yep and Idea has just formed in my Head!!!

  6. Happy WOYWW. Yes, your tags will turn up as soon as you stop looking for them. Happened with me with my sister's birthday card. As soon as I gave up and posted another one to her (which is why I have a box of spare cards for the days when I cannot make a special card), the original one was found on my hubby's desk (no idea why I had put it down in his office). At least I am prepared for next year! Lots of lovely stash on your desk. Ali x #63

  8. Oh I hate it when MOJO takes time off. When warm I take a long overdue walk and this week is to be warm again. AND MISSING ITEMS..the most frustrating time consuming thing. I have some of that since I redid my area.
I really think the mailman delivered the new things to the wrong address. These are things I've on a list and not taken time to order or shop for. Have fun with them and enjoy the week. #112

  17. ACK @ the missing canvas pieces. Gnomes at work. This is the main reason I need to have at least three things to do lol. That way if something goes missing, I can work on something else.

Lovely crafty space and your girls are gorgeous :D. Hoping the pieces and your mojo come home soon. Perhaps dancing will help :D. #116

  33. Hello!

Now that is what I call a workdesk full of possibilities! I absolutely love Graphic 45 and could paper my walls in it! I am in love with every new project I see on their blog! I love the photos of your cats - so much fun! What brand of tomato soup do you get - I cannot find one that is gluten free that tastes good and can be used in a macaroni hotdish. Wishing you a happy day!
