WOYWW #152

I seem to be having problems with blogger this Wednesday again or maybe it is the computer...haven't figured out which yet so will try an post and hope it works.

Welcome to WOYWW #152!  I hope this Wednesday gets a lot better soon!  What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday is always so much fun that I hope it isn't the computer so I can still travel around the world from the comfort of my desk chair and snoop on those other desk I love visiting.  Start out at Stamping Ground and Julia will lead you around the world!

My desk this week doesn't look much different then it usually does and I am wishing I had something more exciting to show you.  My transformation of crafting space isn't occurring very rapidly and might not for a while to come...I need more storage and time to go through what I have and organize it a little better!  I keep waffling back and forth about taking over the other spare room and converting it into a craft room or staying where I am.  Decisions, decisions, decisions...I am already in a 10'x12' room and the other room is 12'x14' so would increase my total square footage a bit but I wonder if it would be worth the work to move or if just reorganization isn't called for.  I digress...MY DESK!!

My desk is actually a 4'x2' piece of wood a top 2 three drawer file cabinets.  One drawer each side is a miscellaneous storage desk drawer and two of the drawers on each side store 8-1/2"x11" card stock in a rainbow of colors.  The four crates at the back have approximately 36-40 stamp pads in each one.  There are 47 Distress Ink stamp pads!  I have a bunch of those small Prima and Sei chalk pads and a bunch of alcohol, distress, and dye ink markers (144).  I think I can ink the world!
As you can see not much different...still cluttered and nothing to show how busy it has been this week but it has been busy!!  Some projects I have completed...

Tag made using my new bird branch and Tattered Flower Garland dies

metal butterfly cut using the Easter Elements bigz die

I enjoyed using my new Tattered Flower Garland die and the new embossing diffuser and Harlequin border

Gungy ATC for swap this month.

The next couple pictures were of a project I made for a friend to celebrate a event in her life.  L is a big Elvis fan and I thought this was appropriate for her.

I thought a Teddy Bear might be right on track since Elvis made Teddies for big girls a very popular item!!
If I were a little kid I think this spooky bear would scare me to has been a while since I made a cake!

That's it for me this week.  Hope you enjoyed snooping around.  I am off to bed and when I get up I will take a trek around the blogs and see what I can see!

  17. Love the tags and the Teddy Bear cake is adorable. BTW, I've refused to use the new Blogger until they actually FORCE me to do so. I've tried it nearly two months ago and hate it. Happy WOYWW from #4 this week.

  18. Love the desk and its STUFF everywhere. I laughed at the "I could ink the world" comment. You ink it and I'll punch borders in it! The tags are fabulous and made me jealous. I want to make stuff in that style. First though, I'm sure I'll need all new everything thing-distress inks, tattered dies, sprays, diffusers, metal doo-dads. Yep, I'd better get me a sugar daddy. Or six.

  19. The tags you have made are beautiful and the colours you have chosen are fab! Hgs trace x

  20. Love your space - hope you decide what to do - stay or go - lot of work but more space... hmm!! The tags are just beautiful, but that bear- his eyes - ooh, creepy! helen,7

  21. Love the tags Vicki especially the butterfly one. Always enjoy a snoop round your desk. Thanks for sharing. Anne x

  25. Hi Vickie, I had problems yesterday too, playing catch up now. Thanks for sharing, love your cake and all your tags are fabulous. Happy crafting,

  26. Fantastic projects - love those tags - as for the re-organisation, it all takes time, doesn't it? Big decision as to whether it's worth moving into the other room - will be interested to know what you decide - thanks for sharing - Hazel #10 x

  27. Fantastic cake Vickie, bet your friend was really pleased. Hard decision about moving the room, might be worth having a really good organisation and clear out of your current space and then seeing if it would be worth while moving everything. You'd have to clean up and organise anyway so it wouldn't be a waste of time.

    Brenda 114

    PS, beautiful tags too!

  28. Hi Vickie,

Oh, yes, I really would feel right at home at your craft space! Your tags and ATC are great!! Speaking of ATCs, don't fall down, I mailed your ATC today! hee hee

    Happy WOYWW

  29. Great workspace and I love your tags and ATC. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

  30. fabulous craftspace and so many inks, would have a move around and try to sort in the room you are first then you will now for sure if you need to move, mind you i always find the more space you have, the more you fill :)
    thanks for visiting me
    kay #38

  31. p.s forget to say the stamp set you asked about was a creative expressions one
brought from a local craft shop,x

  32. Some great tags, and I hear you on the Space thing, I started out with a sewing area, now I've taken over the lower bedroom and out into the family room. I think I need to use my upper wall space and take down my collection of marble boards and get things organized before summer visitors start stopping by. I'm playing catch up in the wee hrs during another storm. I wondered about you a few weeks ago while I was visiting Leavenworth and Wichita got hit. Have a great weekend

  33. Great workspace and lots of lovely stuff to snoop. The tags are fab and your Elvis project is fun! Have a great weekend. x Jo

  34. Rushing round for a late catch up due to a mad busy week.
Love your tags, the teddy too. Re your space... take a look at Neet's transformation since she just added a new 2ft deep shelving unit. In the other room you'd be able to fit 5 of them in so I'm sure it would make a real difference for you. Think about it!
    Love JoZarty x

  35. I take it that the teddy project is a cake? Wow, bet she was well pleased with that. Well done you!
Love the tags, especially like how the branch extends beyond the limits of the tag shape.
Now about the move (or not). I say - go on and do it. Get it planned first of all where you are going to put stuff. You will find that extra space so useful. You don't have to do it all at once, plan and then move your existing storage in bit by bit and that way you can still craft.
wish I could move to a bigger room.
Thanks for sharing and your visit - and thanks for the number - life is so much easier with numbers. Hugs, Neet #27 xx (who is mega late - doh!)

  36. Love the teddy cake!! Yum!! I haven't made a cake in ages! Used to make all my girls birthday cakes. All those TH inks!! I'm sooo jealous!! I have THREE!!! Sorry for my late woyww visit, been away used the dongle to get round some, less than I thought, so maybe it didn't work! Then came back to no email and worse still , no blog! Have a crafty week!!

  37. That's a lot of STUFF on your desk . . . but what lovely creations come out of it! x

I would really love to hear what you think about my art and my posts. Please leave me a comment and let me know! Thanks for visiting my blog. Vickie aka Okienurse
