Wednesday…WOYWW

I have had an interesting day today and while sitting watching TV a few minutes ago I realized it was Wednesday and I hadn't typed up my WOYWW post for the week.  See you give me a couple weeks off and I take a month!  What is WOYWW?  Go over to Julia's blog-Stamping Ground and click on the WOYWW and she will tell you all about it.

My desks today:
This desk is fairly clear and doesn't have a lot of stuff trashing it out today.  Good reason…I haven't been crafting anything recently!
I did get my stamps fairly organized over the past month…my daughter gave me some expedites when she moved to CA and I have put them to good use!

Now this still looks a mess but if you look back a couple weeks ago this is actually a lot better.  I have my stamps divided out by brand…top of the expedite has all my Close to My Heart in cases.
My Stamps of Life and Graphic 45 stamp sets have found their way into binders.   Had I shown you the sugar skull I made last year?

I truly didn't realize how many stamps I had collected over the years and this isn't all of them.  I have a Rubbermaid drawer cart that has most of my occasions and holiday stamps in it.
A lot of my Stampin Up! Stamps.  Two rows deep and stacked on top of one another!

My Tim Holtz and Dylusions stamps are in the cart to the left.  the cart to the right has had all my painting stuff dumped in it.  I thought it would be best to just centralize stuff and then sort through it…hence the 'paint cart'
I had a large 'jar' of cheese puffs that I decided to use to store Washi tapes in…it is about 2 gals/8L in size…that is a lot of Washi!
I needed a way to store glitter glues because they were always slow to come out and because of air bubbles made a mess so I read an article about storing nozzle down and came up with this idea…I had the trays and some PVC pipe connectors and it works perfectly!  Cool huh!
This connector is just the right size to hold the bottle and not tip over.
I went to coffee with some friends yesterday and they kidnapped me and made me go to Michael's shopping.  I love Halloween and Dia de los Muertos…Day of the Dead.  I found this sugar skull I am going to paint and bling up.  All the gel and pastes were on sale $2 a tube so I bought some more for stash.  I found a roll of candy corn Duck Tape in the clearance bin so I bought that.  They had a few new Tim Holtz Halloween items  and I really showed restraint and didn't buy a lot!
The candy corn Duck Tape…isn't that a hoot!
I had a really good time at Pennsic Wars this year and tolerated some horrible heat and humidity in Pennsylvania fairly well!  I haven't had time to go through all the pictures yet but will have a post soon about the trip!

Hope everyone is doing well and has a good week!  I am going to try and get around to see every ones desk over the course of the week…don't give up on me!

  2. I'm totally the same; I figure if each 'genre' of stash is centralised, then its as tidy for me as it will ever be! You do have a lot of stamps. How delicious! The connectors for the glue is just plain genius!! Saw some of PA on FB, but always love to see more, thankyou!

  5. Wow Vickie you certainly tidy up when you tidy up. That is some organising of your craft room you have done.
The duck tape is fab! I won some once at CHA and we are still using it, not candy corn but cute stuff. Enjoy! Can't wait to see your Day of the Dead things finished.
Have a great day Vickie - and watch that back of yours.
    Hugs, Neet 7 xx

    1. Feel free to lift the idea. I did! I don't remember where I saw it years ago but they had put it in a box/suitcase thing . It is so easy to find and use the glue when it is stored this way. My daughter makes fun of all my glues, paints, washi tape etc says I have to have one of each color…Truth!

  13. Your art studio is looking good, as well as your new Halloween & Dia de los Muertos findings at Michael's. I've been wanting one of those carts, but need to safe some money first. Hope your creative juices are back soon!

    1. If you live near a Sam;s store I bought the gray one there for $29 a month or so ago. I think I gave $20 more for the other one at IKEA. I also recently saw them at WalMart here in Norman.!

  14. First of all, methane you for already stopping by! I was going to say you have a lovely space to craft on, and you do! But , wow! You certainly have a lot of stuff! I feel good about that. Not so alone! I am almost embarrassed about how many stamp sets I have and how much stuff, I have! I guess all of us at WOYWW have that in common! LOL

  15. Hi Vickie
You've got some fabulous storage arrangements there! I really am green with envy! The pipe connectors are a great idea for upside down stuff. I think I will have to follow up on that one! :)
    Have a good week,
