WOYWW #249

Wednesday and I remembered...OMG!  I think something must be wrong here.
It was such a beautiful day on Monday and Tuesday with temperatures getting into the upper 70's and lower 80's that it must have released a chemical that activated my brain!  All joking aside it is WOYWW and I think you should go check out the blog hop that is originating on Julia's blog Stamping Ground!  Each Wednesday we get together and show off our desks so the other bloggers can take a snoop and see what we are working on.  Go check it out and come join in.

This my desk this week.  Once again there isn't much change but I have cleaned it up and trashed it out 3 times since last week!  Today there is a whole lot of bling laying out there because I have been busy trying to enter it into a new program I am beta testing for the iPhone.
My son in law is developing a new inventory program app and if you are interested in testing it go here...http://tflig.ht/OICxCv  where you register and he will get back to you.  It looks very promising as a way to inventory and store our stash in a logical way!

If you would like to see the self portrait canvas I was working on last week go here to see it.  I think it represents me totally but looks nothing like me.  Everyone at the store loved it though!

Here is a fun tag thing that I have been working on.  I love making tags!  They are little works of art.  My DD bought me a wall decor bird cage that I can use to display my tags on for Christmas.  It is a real problem storing these things and I really like to have them out on display.  It is a lot of fun hanging tags on the rack to show off.
Just a few tags and I have room for a lot more to be displayed!

All done for today.  Hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather.  Look forward to being able to get out and garden soon.  Have a great week!

  2. Putting bling into a programme? Some kind of app? Sounds far too techie for me!! Love your birdcage display. It is hard to find ways to display tags isn't it - at Christmas time it ends up like a kind of shrine on my sideboard!! Happy WOYWW, Cindy #58

  4. Vicki,

Love the self portrait in the former post and it sounds good to hear you are getting out in the garden now the weather is warming up. Sounds like one really interesting app, I will go and check it out. I don't really believe any app with hold the amount of stash I have. I have the ranger app and find that really good for supplies Tim related etc.

    Have a great crafting week.

  9. What a fabulous way to show off your tags. Since I don't have a cell phone, I don't have an app, but I like what your son is attempting. Happy WOYWW from #7.

  11. See every time I visit I have ink pad envy so many pretty colours to see. An App! Now that sounds interesting and as a bit of a geek I shall have a look! I hope the warmer weather is helping health wise. Though I know it doesn't always as I can be as bad in the Summer as in the Winter. Take care Zo xx 82

  15. Hi vicky
There's no doubting that that's your portrait :-) gorgeous darling! Love it
That's a great way to store your tags I sometime wonder what to do with them too. I thought of bunting but then they are too high up and you cannot see all the fine details. Keep thinking

  21. I love that birdcage idea for displaying your tags, Vickie! What a terrific idea, and so decorative - it's a complete work of art. Thanks for your visit and your lovely comment - glad you like my latest adventure in teabag art. Like you, I love to see beauty everywhere, even in the most humble settings, and I am amazed at just how much art potential there is in the humble teabag that usually gets thrown away! Tonight my hubby and I went to a barn dance at church and I asked the lady making the tea to keep the teabags for me! I've got a nice lot to put to dry on paper tonight!

Sorry I didn't make it to WOYWW this week. Have a great week.

  23. I LOVE your birdcage hanger for your tags - what a fabulous and stylish idea - all my art gets stuffed in an old suitcase when it's made and it's never seen again! I love the idea of having it on show to inspire and enjoy. Thanks for stopping by earlier, hope you have a good week.

  24. We say over here "Ne'er cast a clout until May is out". Well, the May blossom is out right now, but I still would not trust the weather not to throw some good frosts at us still. But everything that I have planted out is of the hardy variety, so it should be ok. xx Maggie #85

That's a great way to display all your lovely tags, they look like lots
of little birds making their escape!

I just looked at your self portrait - it's AMAZING!!! What a beautiful piece of mixed media art and I think it actually does look like you.
You should definitely bring it home when the store's finished with it -
    not for the bin please!

Until next time .... and thanks for coming to see my desk earlier too xx

  26. Wonderful tags, dear Vickie! And to take them at the bird cage is just amazing. Usually I dont like cages, because this are places without freedom, but your display cage is perfect.
