WOYWW #188

The week has flown by again and I have very little to show for it craft wise.  I always wonder what I have been up too and why more doesn't get done since I don't seem to be that busy.  I think I need to give up TV and computer time...at least part of it so I can get busy and show something for my time.  I won't go into what a pit my house looks like and I know the rest of the week it won't get  better.

So on to why we are here...to see my desk this week! If you would like to participate in this weekly desk exposures you need to head over to Julia's blog Stamping Ground and check out the other blogs this week.
My desk is currently occupied by a project in the works.  I am working on a chipboard book made from toilet paper roll cores.  I am using the Graphic 45 papers for Christmas this year called Nutcracker Sweet.   I saw the idea on a You Tube video by Jacqui Chimes and My Creative Spirit, Charlie Jones

Here is a picture of the front of the book.   Like I said it is a work in progress and I will put finished pictures up when I get it done but I think it looking good so far!
I hope everyone is settling in now that the holidays are over and getting on with their crafty lives.  I look forward to hopping around to the blogs and seeing what everyone is up to!

  1. Happy WOYWW. Loving the toilet roll book. Will go and check out the YouTube links - I have a small collection of tags that I would like to display together, and this could be a good way of doing that. I agree with you re. time. I am watching less tv, but my new computer is taking up a lot of my time - and I just don't get as much 'real' crafting done as I used to. I try not to worry about that too much, as having the study to do, as well as a lot more in my life, whilst coping with a body that seems to enjoy throwing problems at me, is more than enough for 'little old me'. 3. Love the idea of creating such a gorgeous book from a humble toilet roll. Will have to check out that video. You are getting far more done crafty wise than me and I don't even have TV as an excuse. I really don't know why I don't get more done. Maybe that should be a New Years Resolution.. to be more productive!!

  7. I'm another who spends too much time in front of various screens but its my new year resolution to do more. Rafting, and I think that is one of the easier ones to keep.
Great little tag album as well.

  15. Beautiful book - not taken the plunge on a loo roll book YET, but every time I see one I am tempted. How did we ever survive before YouTube? :)

    Have a good one.

  38. ooh your book is stunning! I must have a go at one of these one day. My list of must do's is huge and I don't seem to get anything done! xx

  39. Hi Vickie, your album is shaping up beautifully. I like the black base and you can't go wrong with Graphic45 papers - they are all gorgeous. You could move the TV into your craft room and get the best of both worlds. As for the housework ... I just bite the bullet and spend one day a week really trying and the other days I swat at it occasionally - it works for me :)) I hope you have a good, and housework free, weekend. Elizabeth x #69
