WOYWW #132

I just got home from going to Weight Watchers and WalMart...what a nightmare! Not the Weight Watcher I really enjoyed that meeting...I got rid of another 3# making a grand total of 15.6# for me. I joined WW with my sister about 2 months ago cause she asked me to and even if I am not losing weight like she is it is still coming off! After the meeting we went out to eat at a local eatery and then home. Walmart is an entirely different story! OMG!

This is what my desk looks like right now! The post lady came today bearing gifts from a far! I have a box from Oh My Crafts, a big envelope from a Splitcoast Stampers swap group (card tops), and a smaller box from an All Things Tim swap group. Oh my goodness such pretty cards and tags in those boxes but since they aren't my works I am hesitant to share them without asking permission of everyone that made them. I will share what is in the two other boxes though! If you would like to see tags etc I made this week check my previous posts.

The big narrow box is from Tuire here on WOYWW! Tuire made my daughter and I PIF gifts and sent them to us this month. I am ashamed to say that I still haven't finished mine yet but I still have a month to go so don't give up hope if I owe you one.
There were two books in the box but I gave the second one to my daughter and she took it home before I got a picture of it. Isn't this a gorgeous book? It has pages or journaling, keeping records etc., pages with vintage photos, and stamps etc. I love it Tuire thank you! See the cat with the beautiful eyes and butterfly that is in the picture above sitting perched on a stamp pad? Tuire made that for another swap and I got lucky that time too! I keep it sitting on my desk cause it makes me feel calm!

The big box is some stash from Oh My Crafts! It is one of my favorite online stores for buying products you need and can't live without.
Everything in this box I need...my life is dependent on it!! That's my story anyway and I am sticking to it! I actually do need the inks (I got alcohol inks and 15 reinkers for the pads), the Noel die, the cut and dry ink pad felt and more tools etc. Can't do ink and paper crafts without it. I also won a couple of their 12 days of Christmas prizes this week on days 11(Bazzill cardstock) and 12(Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Frame 8 Dies!) Yahoo! More stuff will be coming! I enjoyed the 12 days of Christmas contest cause each day that number of persons were chosen to win a prize ie 11 on the 11th day.

Anyway that is what is on my desk tonight. Check out Julia's blog, Stamping Ground for the reason for this post!! I am going to go make the round and see what everyone else is doing these last two weeks before Christmas. I should probably get busy getting cards out and last minute makes done but...they will wait!

  1. Wow, you are so, so lucky. Winning two prizes. And of course, I can see why you would need craft foam. I bought mine on clearance a couple of years ago and fell in love with it. Now I can't find it in town.

I don't use ink pads but have a few reinkers because I use them for just about everything I make. Hope your week is great and festive, too. Happy WOYWW from # 5.

Yes, that ' purple present ' IS a scarf. My first 'proper' attempt at crochet! I have a post about it on my blog about it somewhere, I'm not really big on crochet but gave it a go anyway and quite pleased with the way it turned out.

    Thanks for your lovely comments.

  40. That's an enviable box of goodies that you received in the mail. It's good to have those reinkers since the inkpads are so nice and durable. I'm still in the process of "collecting" all the inkpads, but I'm thinking I should pick up refills here and there, too. . . .

  41. Hi Vickie, lovely goodies on your desk - you'll have fun creating with them. I know all about needing, not just wanting, but really needing stash - it happens to me all the time:) Congratulations on the impressive weight loss too. I love your tags ... they are all gorgeous but I think my favourite is your Tag No. 3. Hope you have a great weekend. Elizabeth x #66

  43. Oooh Vickie what a busy time, with WW and your lovely parcels! Well done indeedy losing all the weight. I've reached a plateau with mine (probably a rising one at this time of year lol!) and shall have another concerted effort after Christmas.

I also had some parcels waiting for me on my return - I've now got the TH seasonal DIs and a couple more Distress Stains which I was missing, and some gorgeous Distress Core-dinations paper. Also, I've got my new KITTY!!! She's still in the box and I'm not sure when I'm going to have a chance to set her up and start cutting!

Thank you for your nice comment on my blog. My hubby and I both take echinacea supplements but this year it doesn't seem to have done much good! He's got yet another cold and is now coughing all over the place.

I seem to have got everybody going with my bag skirts!! Over the next few days I hope to do a post about them. We only got back from the trip away for the funeral this evening and I'm not sure when I shall get going in my ARTHaven again, but keep on keeping an eye out!!

    Happy belated WOYWW, Shoshi #58

  44. Thanks for your nice comment, Vickie! My hubby's now on cold No. 2 and is coughing everywhere. We both take echinacea but they don't seem to have worked this time around! I'm much better than I was.

As for the bag skirts, you'll just have to wait and see! I'm going to make some more - nice parcel of goodies awaiting me on my return today, with some Tim Holtz stuff, so health permitting I'm going to try and make a start tomorrow! Also got my new Kitty - my extra special Christmas pressie to myself!!

  47. Thanks so much for popping over, Vickie I am running a bit late – tis a blessing to see what you are up to, and love the desk, and box! see you again soon! Shaz in oz. x

  48. Thanks for the nice comment, Vickie! Yes, defo the best thing, to wait till after Christmas before I start playing with Sheba. Good idea getting a second set of the seasonal DI's - I didn't know they didn't do reinkers for them. Perhaps they will eventually. I can't think why they don't just add these new colours to the range permanently and be done with it. Apparently they're going to be bringing them out again next Christmas. If it's some sort of marketing ploy I think it's a silly one! I used the iced spruce yesterday and it's lovely!!
