WOYWW

Well a little late...not months have passed...since my last post.  Been busy with all sorts of stuff...some essential some not so much so!  I really enjoyed WOYWW a couple weeks ago and promised to be here too and I am...Whats WOYWW?  Whats On Your Workdesk/space Wednesday!  Julia Dunnit started the group many years ago and it is a fun place...Check it out!

My space looks like more of a disaster then it did 2 weeks ago with me shuffling stuff around and back again trying to place this, find that, get rid of some stuff!  I just have more stuff then one person should have and keep getting more because people think I can't live without it!  My craft room from the door
I truly am trying to organize but it seems I have to move 200 things to find a resting place for the one in my hand...I will persevere.  I have 2 boxes to go out sitting in the dining room waiting on pick up by a school teacher that needs supplies.

Some cards I made this week.  I really love the kits that Close to My Heart puts out a could times a year.  My daughter is a CTMH dealer and she lets me order them on her account!  This one is the Seas the Day card kit...a lot of fun to put together!  This kit makes 4 of each card type.

I have since bought the layout/scrapbook kit and will show you that when I get it done!

A friend got the new Gemini from Crafters Companion...a bright sparkly metallic machine...tried out machine and the dies that came with it and made a couple cards!

I think they turned out really nice...6"x 6" but pretty much lays flat.  I love bright sparkly/shiny things and bright colors.  My daughter tells everyone that color is my friend...it does calm me down when a lot is available.  I don't do well with dull and drab...

Okay I guess I will end this missive here without adding a lot more to it.  I hope to make it around to see everyone this week...Don't know how I keep forgetting!

  1. Hi Vickie, you look as though you've got a lot of work there to get sorted but I know you'll get there. I don't know why but I can't see some of your card samples they are not showing. I can see the crab card and the last one which has flowers. Have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x2x

  2. Looking at your room makes me feel a whole lot better about mine, Vickie! Lol! I expect you'll get it all sorted eventually. I know what you mean about people giving you stuff, and I can never turn anything down because it might just come in useful! Like Angela, I'm afraid I can't see several of your photos - I've had this problem on someone else's blog this week as well, so I am not sure what is going on. Thank you for your visit. Lovely to hear of your Celtic origins, and that you enjoyed the Celtic knots, and also the baby kitty pics! I can't believe they were so small, now that they are so big and heavy! The curry that I made this week is quite a mild one and certainly not fiery hot, so it might be a good one to start on. We had it for lunch today and both enjoyed it a lot. I am sorry you had problems leaving a comment, but I did get both comments from you so no problems. I do have to watch out because my wordpress blog tends to be a bit over-zealous in labelling people as spam but I haven't had any of those so far this week.

    Happy WOYWW,

  7. Hi Vickie, I could see all the photos ok, and very colourful they are too. Wow, you do have your work cut out to sort out your craft room. I'm lucky in that my craftroom is also our guest room, so I have no choice other than to keep it relatively in order, as our grandchildren come for regular sleepovers. Also, my memory is so shocking, I need to know where everything is, and even when I label things, I still forget! Thanks for stopping by my blog - the wedding invites will be fun to make for sure. Have a lovely week Heather xx #21

  9. HI Vicki, yep I have been moving mine to plastic envelope pouches too as I un mount them and put some in bins on a book shelf and some into dresser drawers that I have that I use as a place to shoot cards on. so, its an on going thing and not done yet for me, I doubt if I will do all my stamps but, I know I will do a few more boxes of them as I have stamps in 4 spots and I want to cut that down to 3 places to look eventually. Love how pretty the floral cards are. ~Stacy #23

  10. Hi Vickie. Good to "meet you" today - does indeed seem like a long time... How's you doing? Oh, how I understand your dilemma. Finding the right place for thin gs is sometimes a mammoth task! Everything else has to be moved first - and then, of course... all pout back again!
I like your cards - they are great - a real pleasure to gaze at.
    Take care. God bless.

  13. Hello Vicki! I am finally getting around to desks. It's been a crazy few days. My boys school is closed until April 7th and today we went to his school so they could pick up any books they left at school. His school is going to attempt an online classroom. I hope they figure something out so the kids don't lose valuable school time.
Now, let's talk about those gorgeous cards. The close to my heart ones are so cute. I love that the kit creates a set. I am trying to create sets to sell on my Etsy shop. I think it's really fun. Love the 6x6 card too. Today I am hoping to get to some of the scrapbooking I told you about. We will just have to see how the day goes. Have a lovely day and stay healthy my friend.

Wow. Looking at your pens it's so manh per colour you coukd set up a shop! I do understand totally why its overwhelming. Ive often been gkad I dont live where it easy to get craft supplies, cos it does stop me from buying.
Love your new creations though. Stunning!
Thanks for sharing, and may God bless you.
