WOYWW #186

Hope everyone survived the Christmas day festivities and are enjoying a prolonged holiday or if you are having to return to work today I hope it isn't a stressful or taxing day for you.  For me...well I am planning on having a lay about day watching TV, eating leftovers and enjoying quality time with loved ones.  First on my agenda today is a blog hop around the world seeing what WOYWWer's remember today is Wednesday and who posts what about their holidays and desks.  What's this blog hop you say...check out Stamping Ground and Julia will tell you what to do!

Nothing new on my desk from last week except a different pile of junk that needs sorting through and put away.  I bought a new 5 in Xyron and a bag of various metal bits last week that I need to sort through.  Stamps need put away, a kit from last weeks class, a box with my gift from the Secret Santa Swap on OSWE.  Fun stuff!

Anyway that's it for me no crafting has been done this week.  Too many things to catch up on and do!  Have a great week and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  2. Lovely busy desk there - I love having a sort through and putting away (although I always get sidetracked half way through and start making something with something I have found instead!). Hope you had a fabulous Christmas and I hope you have a wonderful new year too. Thanks for visiting me.

  5. First off I want to wish you a Happy New Year and hope the coming year is a good one for you. Your desk is piled high this week and you will definitely have to sort through before you can create, or you could just shift it to the floor!!

  7. Yep, catching up and putting away seem to be big on the menu for today! Im off to my sweet in laws for another Christmas Day, so my fun goes on! Funny, these holidays I always think I might get loads done and then when I am home, I can't face the desk sorting....! have a a super relaxing day....the sorting can wait, huh!

  8. That doesn't need much sorting, just a bit of rearranging! I've given up on my table and am working in a different room. Still, it's Boxing Day, so kick back and relax, even though you're in America and aren't lucky enough to actually have Boxing Day.

    Cheers, Rachel #11

  11. Hi Vicki
Chill out and enjoy! I am not doing too much today,... mind you I didn't do much yesterday as it was just we two here. A nice dinner, TV and music...
I must mention that my angel has not yet arrived even though I had notification of shipping by email from DSPS. I'm sure she will wing in soon but I didn't want you to think that I haven't thanked you! Famfa's , though correctly addressed, went to Australia first before getting to Canada!!
    Lots of love jo x

  17. We are having an easy day of it here too though we did go out for a latte earlier today - weather miserably damp and no snow but could have been worse :) Your desk is piled high with goodies - something for you to look forward to using in the new year perhaps. Happy WOYWW and happy New Year too. Elizabeth x #30

  20. Sorting is not near as difficult when you have NEW things to go through. I am so relieved I cleaned my desk off before the kids got here and the celebrating started. Happy Boxing Day and WOYWW

  22. Hi, Vicki, it's always fun to get some new crafty treats (either as gifts or by shopping!) Hope you had the quiet lazy day you were hoping for. We were pretty lazy, too, watched a movie, ate too many Christmas cookies . . . but also did a relatively short shopping excursion (including Michael's where I got some good bargains, and the Hallmark store for a few ornaments). Definitely not necessities, but fun anyway. Thanks for visiting already and happy holidays. :) Laura #39

  23. Thanks for stopping by Madame Bizarro's. Your desk is positively ship-shape compared to mine right now. I had to pile things on it to clean other areas. My whole studio makes me feel like I'm on Hoarders or something. ACK!

Happy happy Boxing Day, or what's left of it now.

  28. Thanks for coming by the Playhouse, Vickie! Girl, you need to get in there and put those toys away so you have a spot to craft, snapple, and pop! Okay you can watch TV for now, but you have to hop to it next year! (Notice how that sounds like a long time from now? Don't look at the calendar!)

  33. ha ha! I love that there is a present on top of the pine, many a Christmas day my table looked the same but since having kids I learned to clean up my craft area because once Christmas morning came the rest of the house would be so cluttered in toys it would be my only sanctuary LOL! 35. Hi Vickie,

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Here's hoping that 2013 will be even better year!!

I see on the Feedjit that it shows me from Mesa, Arizona.... and I'm right here in my living room in New Mexico! Now that's weird.

    Hugs,

  36. oh my! Look at that pile! Wouldn't my evil kittens love to have a dig through that. Truly they take after their mother and are real paper crafting freaks. The one always roots around on my desk for the sharp pointed scissors. Such a naughty kitty. There is just so much there to play with. I hope you get a dig through and can get in some crafting time. Did you make that pie you were thinking of? I made a batch of cookies and am having to eat them myself. Hubby is being good. That's boring.

  38. Me again!! Your parcel arrived today (29th)! OMG, thank you sooooo much, how kind you are to think of me and send me a present of delights. The fabric is gorgeous and the pattern leaflet is full of great ideas...I am definitely going to have a go at doing some of those. And your Christmas angel is wonderful, and there was me admiring them on your blog a week ago!! I love her, thank you, she will be added to my box of Christmas treasures that mean so much to me when they come out each year.

Julia is right, if you could bottle the goodwill and love that is fostered by WOYWWers, the world would be a better place. Thank you for your continued friendship and support each week, it really does mean a lot. I value it greatly.

Sending love, hugs and best wishes for a wonderful, happy, healthy 2013,

  45. Good for you on the resolution front. This is a terrible time of year to try to do something new or try to change. I tend to make resolutions in spring, although they're usually about being nice to myself! I love your desk this week; it looks as if it's just waiting for something amazing to be made. Can't wait to see what that something is.

    Happy WOYWW,
