WOYWW #130

This week has been busy in more ways then one around the hacienda! The cabinet men came and finished installing the cabinets in the laundry room and put the cornice moulding around the kitchen cabinets. Today the rain gutter company came to finish up the new guttering we had installed on the house. I have tried to do as much as possible in my craft room and managed to get some Christmas tags made that you can view in the previous two posts if you would like to see them. Thought I would get a jump on Tim Holtz and make my 12 tags of Christmas then see if I could follow along with his tag making extravaganza starting this Thursday at midnight. I also have been busy making card front for a swap on Splitcoast Stampers that have to be mailed out tomorrow. I will post those tomorrow or Thursday.

My desk this week is a mess! I need to stop and straighten up a bit before I start another project because there are bits and pieces of paper, embellies, and other stuff lying about. My table behind my chair has been piled higher and deeper this week and I can't find a stamp set I know I had just yesterday. Guess I will make an effort to straighten tomorrow when I get back from the post office....grrrrr....I just want to play not work. Anyway on to my desk here it is in all its messiness. At the front of the desk is my desk is my Tim Holtz/StampersAnonymous Christmas stamp binder and stamps. I am going to make ATC's tomorrow and was looking at the stamps after finishing my card tops. Behind the binder is the three sets of 16 card tops that I made for the swap. I love these swaps cause you never know what you will be getting back and I get so many ideas and have so much fun with the challenges. I did and up close shot this weekend to cover all the debris I mentioned above.

If you would like to know what all this is about check our Julia's blog Stamping Ground where we gather each week in our journey around the world to check on one another's desks. Called snooping by some it is great fun to share projects and lives of other artists.

Hope everyone has a great week! I am going to put the tree up tomorrow (after I straighten up a bit!) and then try to do some blog hopping on WOYWW!

  10. Gosh your desk looks very neat and organised to me. You're right though I would much rather play than tidy up - no fun in that! Enjoy Tim and his 12 days x

  13. Hi Vickie, I do like looking through my rubber stamps cause it gives me ideas. If I don't look at them, I forget I have them. Seems like so many are doing the 12 tags of Christmas!

  15. That stamp you can't find, it's with all of those that I can't find either. I usually 'lose' things on my table, spend 10 minutes turning everything over and then there they are, right in front of me.
Love your card toppers and the tags in your previous post - wish I'd got those seasonal DIs now, that red is gorgeous.

  16. Well nursie, I think your play not work idea is sound, except you keep talking about doing other stuff too - you do too much!! Once you tidy up, your mojo will be back in full swing no doubt...wonder if the tree will have to wait?!!

  18. I know just what you mean about things going missing. I spent 20 minutes yesterday, looking for my Orange dongle so that I could log my craft computer on to the internet. I eventually found it exactly where I had been looking for it - it was the wrong way up and I just did not see it. I love all the exciting things on your desk this week, though. Thank you for your visit yesterday. As for the Silhouette versus the Cricut - I have never used the Cricut, but the real benefit and justification for the Silhouette is that you can create your own designs, and use any font on your computer, any size. You can use it with your printer to print yo0ur design before you cut it very accurately. I have converted all my decoupage sheets to work with the Silhouette. You are not limited by someone else's ideas.

  19. Doesn't look too messy to me, Vickie! Quite tidy in fact. Nice to see all those lovely stamps! Thanks for your comment on my blog. Very complimentary! I'm just pleased to have got those alterations done as they've been hanging round long enough. I was back in my ARTHaven again yesterday making a box for my mum's cards. Feeling wiped out again today so may give it a rest till tomorrow. Happy WOYWW, Shoshi #62

  21. You are one very busy lady. Lots of lovely things going on. I 'lose' things - a lot cos I don't tidy up but keep going until it is impossible to fit anything else on my desk. It's tidy at mo as I have not done much for a week. Anne x
